Saint John Henry Cardinal Newman was accounted as a companion to the quest for truth by the Late Pope Benedict XVI. Saint J.H. Newman was highly respected and famed as “The Man of Pursuing Truth” for his being a truth seeker and spiritual reflections throughout his life journey. Cardinal Newman and Pope Benedict XVI shares identical mission to pursue the truth, of which was visible in the motto in his Cardinal Coat of Arms as “Cooperators of the truth”（cooperatores veritate）. This shows that Cardinal Newman has profound impact on Pope Benedict XVI. Dr. Anna Chan will guide us to explore Cardinal Newman’s influence stretched throughout Late Pope Benedict XVI’s life.
