
Educational Theater Tour "Your Feelings Matter"
The educational theater production "Your Feelings Matter", organized by the Macao Diocesan of Performance Arts and Culture Association, co-organized by the Cardinal Newman Centre for Culture and Arts Performance of Macau, and funded by the Macau Cultural Development Foundation, completed a total of 23 performances from May to July. The tour targeted students from Kindergarten Year 2 to Primary Year 3, engaging a total of 2,228 teachers and students.
Through interactive theater and games, the initiative aimed to help children understand personal boundaries from an early age, while encouraging them to reflect on body autonomy and the importance of respecting others' physical space.
⚫Objectives of the Drama in Education: “Your Feelings Matter”:
1. To help children understand body boundaries through playful activities, teaching them how to express their discomfort with unwanted touching.
2. By learning about body boundaries and self-autonomy, children will become more aware of others' autonomy, enhancing their relationship-building skills and collaboration.
⚫Synopsis:
Adapted from the picture book "Family Photo Album", Nessie the Mouse flips through her family photos, haunted by memories of her uncle’s inappropriate advances—disguised as "protection." When a wild cat attacks, she learns to scream "NO!" and reclaim her voice...
