CCCN Macau Hosted 'Toast to Autumn' Music Concert

Updated: Feb 7

The Macau Cardinal Newman Arts and Culture Center(CCCN Macau) successfully held its Autumn Concert on October 5th. The event featured performances by the CASA Band from Colégio Mateus Ricci, the Guitar Society and Wind Ensemble from Yuet Wah College, the Wind Ensemble from Chan Sui Ki Perpetual Help College, the D Major Band from Our lady of Fatima girls' school, and Dandelion. The concert showcased a variety of musical performances, ranging from solo wind instrument pieces and duets to brass quartets. The repertoire spanned classical jazz, modern anime music, and classic tunes, with the melodious sounds resonating throughout the venue. Following this, the lively and upbeat pop music performances transported both the performers and the audience of over a hundred people into another world, as they swayed and sang along, bringing the atmosphere to a climax.

CCCN's director Agnes Wong expressed her gratitude to the school principals, teachers, and students who contributed to the success of the concert. She stated, "Music has a profound impact on students' growth. It not only cultivates artistic appreciation and enhances their expressive abilities and self-confidence but also teaches them how to face an audience and promotes both mental and physical well-being. It is crucial for holistic development, and the talents and efforts of the students will bring pride to themselves and their schools." She believes that music fosters communication, aligning with the venue's mission of bringing people closer together. She hopes that this performance platform will provide more young people with the opportunity to showcase their musical talents and allow more individuals to

experience the emotional power of music.
