Infinite Dots, Kids and Parent-Child Workshop

 

Eventhough “Dots” are simple, they indicate unlimited possibilities. From dots to a line, and lines assemble into different lively models.

In Yayoi Kusama’s works: disintegrates oneself into parts, floating on the shoreless universe and travelling into the state of timeless and endless.

Art and cultural activities have far-reaching impact in the enlightenment of children’s creativity to the development of their five senses in presence of parents’ engagement. In citation of Yayoi Kusama’s conceptual theory to “Self-Obliteration”, to  direct attenders to “sketch out” various size circle dots pattern through the sensory perceptions. The program aims at the utilization of tiny components to enhance art insights, and reform into artwork with profound cultural connotations.

Kids and Parent-Child Workshop

To become acquainted with Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese Artist, through the usage of circle dots during games and discovers the reason of her life-time obsession in “dots”! Attenders are required to prepare a commonly used item for derivation. Luxury and immutable items are not recommended.

Seats: 12 pairs (1 adult + a kid aged 4-6)

Fees: MOP50

Time: 2:30pm-4:00pm

Seats: 10 (6-8 years old)

Leading Artist:  Véronique Wong︱Visual Artist & Art Educator

  • Master Degree Holder in École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and proficient in Conceptual Art and Art Installation (France) in early years

  • Engaged in Experimental documentary (Macau), and being the first Experimental documentary creator (Macau)

  • Associate Degree Holder in Child Development, University of San Francisco, USA

  • Instructor of Faculty of Education in University of Macau

  • Worked as Visual Art Educator in kindergarten, Primary schools, Macau Museum of Art, and various Art Associations

Singing in the “Dots”
 
Picture-Book & Music Workshop

The usage of picture book, sound and music boost the stimulation of children’s imagination, while rhythms and melodies assist children’s early cognitive development. During the singing section, children gather to form a “choir” with necessarily encouragements from parents. The leading artist guide children to picture book sharing with musician’s accompanied performance to compose a music note belongs to their own.

  • Unleashing.Mind Professional Counselling Academy (Hong Kong) – Certified Mentor of Art in Therapy, extensive experience in coaching and parent-child picture book reading for various organizations. 

  • Tutor to Professional Development conducts by Education and Youth Development Bureau, Macau S.A.R. from 2019. Training program is mainly affiliated to picture books.


​Leading Artist: Mis CK︱Art Educator & Music Composer

  • Master of Arts in Music (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) and Fine Arts in Film, Television and Digital Media (Academy of Film HKBU). Lecturer of musical composition and animation for various colleges and organizations, involved in music performance and awarded for prizes in animation production. CK commits to the promotion art and music production.

  • Music Performance Diploma in Piano (Trinity College of London), Music Theory and Vocals Grade 8 of Royal Academy of Music and Royal Academy of Dance.

  • Composer of soundtracks in documentaries, animations and independent movies. Animation Director to her original animation “My Grandfather’s Clock”, and was awarded as Best Animated Short Film of HKMFF.

  • Founder of “Macao A Cappella” and the SEEDs Kingdom, and other organizations in music and art category.
